For air travel, Slidell Airport (ICAO: KASD, FAA LID: ASD) is a publicly-owned airport located four nautical miles (7 km) northwest of Slidell’s central business district. It serves the local community, and despite using the FAA identifier ASD, it has no designation from IATA (the International Air Transport Association).

It’s worth noting that the IATA code ASD is assigned to Andros Town Airport in the Bahamas, causing a difference between the two systems for Slidell’s airport identification.
