Core aeration and soil amendment to break up clay compaction before new sod goes down. NOLA clay compacts harder than most regions and requires correction more often.
Drainage Correction
Surface regrading or channel work to move standing water away from the installation area. Sod installed over a drainage problem will fail at the same rate as what was removed.
pH Testing and Amendment
Soil pH assessed and corrected where needed. Most NOLA grass varieties perform best in a slightly acidic range. pH outside that range limits nutrient uptake regardless of fertilization.
Soil Amendment and Topdress
